| Gary –I have spent the last week reflecting on the Premier’s words. I have consulted with, priests, pastors, mentors, friends and many members of Take Back Alberta and they are unanimous in their criticism. I weaponized my words instead of speaking the truth in love. I have long justified my actions online due to the many personal attacks and threats levied against me. A constant barrage of personal attacks and death threats. All of my excuses are lies. My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has commanded me to love my enemies. I have failed at this command. I have returned insult with insult and injury with injury. In doing so, I have brought disgrace to the name of Christ. The only path forward is repentance. That means turning around and going the other way. I will not use personal insults in my public communications going forward. I am absolutely positive that if I stumble in this regard, my haters will call me out for it. Christ has said, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me”. I have not received these insults and persecution as a blessing. I am not asking for anyone’s forgiveness. Other people will have to decide whether they forgive me on their own terms. My actions going forward will speak to whether this statement is sincere or not.
